I always love the start of a new year, when everything seems possible.

So, the new computer that I got in March will not connect to the internet at all now. It says that the ethernet cord is unplugged, meanwhile I don't even *have* an ethernet cord. I ended up having the day off today because it's an American holiday and the company I get my transcription files from is American. The temperature has been 34C/93F for about 8 hours straight now. I expected this to be a normal workday for me, until Amy suggested a trip downtown and lunch out. We ended up spending most of the day downtown. My brother-in-law is home from the hospital! He went in on Saturday night, was diagnosed with a bowel obstruction Sunday morning, and had surgery Sunday afternoon. I think that's a super fast progression. Go doctors!
